 Steelheaders News!

January 26, 2007 Eastside Membership Meeting

Jeff Liskay will be this months speaker and your guess is good as mine as to what he will teach us. I'm sure he will figure it out on his way to the meeting and my guess is it will fit the conditions we are having this year. As always Jeff will provide an energetic, informative and useful tips that might give you the edge on our highly pressured rivers. If you watch, listen and learn and then practice what you learned, a better steelheader you can be.

Winter Series Tournament Results
As I predicted the water was high and dirty again, but that didn't keep the diehard out of it. Many of the anglers reported they hooked several fish, but the size was not there again. This event winner is Chris Bryda with a two fish total of 56.75 inches.

Roel
Rubal is leading the over all at this time with a 4-fish total  of 113.50 inches, lets see if he can hang on.

 Congratulations Chris

He is requesting fisherman to stay in the water and not fish the water where the land owner's house is visible. Honor the Land Owners Request or the next signs you might see are

Member photo received in December 2006

Tom Krause sent this photo of Craig Teleski holding a pair of steelhead. I witnessed one time when I fished with Craig on the Chagrin he had a double on a fly rod. One went up stream the other when down stream. I can still see his face. No I don't think he had a double here, I know the look.

Mike Durkalec sent photes of a long time friend Roy Loomas and Mike's Lab, Kodiak.
