Steelheaders News 2008 -
2009
January
24, 2008 - Eastside Membership Meeting
Speaker:
Les Ober, OCBS Education Chairman - will present a very informative reading the water
program. If you can't read water, you are missing opportunities
to catch more fish regardless of the species you are trying to
catch.
Les
is a long time member of OCBS not to mention an accomplished
steelheader. His leadership in our organization is education.
Part of duties include organization of our successful club
members On-River Seminars which occurs two times a year.
Les
is a dedicated fly fisherman and is always looking for other
ways to fish flies. During the past few years he has been
playing around with two handle spay rods and switch rods that
have caught the interest of Ohio fly fisherman recently. Les
will tell you that there is a good learning curve with these rod
and a good approach to get started is to attend instruction
class. Yes we do have members that can teach you professionally
the basic of using these rods. Les can provide you with
information if you are interested.
