It was six years ago in the dead of winter The Steelheaders’ Ball was born. It has been a party known for food, drink, music and a general good time. This year the Party is being hosted by the Lake Parks Foundation, a not for profit organization that is affiliated with Lake Metroparks. The foundation supports the mission of the park system, and helps finance special projects.

In addition to hosting the Steelheaders’ Ball the foundation has agreed to set up a special account for all proceeds from the event to go toward stream access and preservation.

Stream access is a good thing not only for anglers but also provides for all manner of outdoor activities enjoyed by people of all ages. As Lake Metroparks has been responsible for securing more public access to Ohio’s premiere steelhead streams than any other public agency. It seems like a good thing to help them out.

This years event will be April 20^th at Pine Ridge Country Club and as in years gone by in addition to the music and food there will be raffles and auction items. Many organizations and individuals have generously supported this event with the donation of quality gifts and sponsorships.

We hope to see you there for an evening of great fun, unique and exciting auction items, a variety of musical performances, food and true fishing stories.
