We are extremely excited to announce that former world fly casting champion and internationally known fly casting instructor, Tim Rajeff, will be visiting Ohio and western Pennsylvania on June 19 through June 24.  At the peak of his career, Rajeff won the world fly distance championship with a one hand cast of 204 feet and has been the only individual to ever achieve a perfect score of 300 in the American Casting Association’s Accuracy Combination Event.

Tim loves casting.

Currently retired from competitive casting, Tim is now president of Rajeff Sports in Vancouver, Washington where he designs his own series of fly rods, ECHO, and distributes Airflo Fly Lines in the North America.  He is also the host of L.L. Bean’s “Guide to the Outdoors” which can be viewed on the Versus (OLN) channel.  When not filming TV shows or working on new fly rod and fly line designs, Tim teaches fly casting and fishing.  He is a member of the Federation of Fly Fishers board of casting instructors who test individuals trying to achieve their FFF casting instructor certification.

Tim managed a salmon camp for Atlantic Salmon in Russia.

Tim will be at area fly shops to conduct fly casting demonstrations and classes.  His analytical capabilities, motivational skills, and humor make him one of the most requested fly casting instructors in the world.  The demonstrations, free to the public, will be followed by a presentation on “How Fly Rods and Lines Are Designed.”    Three levels of casting classes (Fundamentals-beginners, Performance-advanced, and Spey casting) will be offered for those individuals wanting to improve their fly castings skills.
